#Run50Raise50 Results are in!

Wow, we are overwhelmed with the support for #Run50raise50! The final total is in; thanks to you we raised an incredible $64,950 for 3rd Creek Foundation partners, surpassing our initial fundraising goal of $50,000 by $14,950! 

The funds raised have already been disbursed to two 3rd Creek Foundation Impact Investment partners who are working to alleviate poverty in the farming communities they work in:  

Nature's Nectar: This Zambian honey company works with farmers to move them from traditional methods of beekeeping to modern methods that protect ecosystems, prevent deforestation and boost honey production. Nature's Nectar buys the honey at a guaranteed price, giving these farmers economic certainty for the first time. Nature's Nectar received a loan of $40,000.  

Young Mountain Tea: This tea company works in India and Nepal and has recently launched a specialty tea factory in that is co-owned with tea farmers, the first of its kind in India. Young Mountain Tea ensures a fair price for their farmers and introduces sustainable farming techniques to regenerate the ecosystem. Young Mountain Tea received a loan of $40,000 which was topped up by 3rd Creek Foundation.  

Your donations towards these affordable loans keep on making impact: when Nature's Nectar and Young Mountain Tea pay back the loans, the funds will be ready to go to the next business. We can't wait to bring you updates on their progress next year.
